Dear colleagues and friends,

We are pleased to announce that the 9th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Immunodeficiency and Autoinflammatory Diseases (JSIAD) will be held on February 14th and 15th (Saturday and Sunday), 2026, at Sendai International Center, Exhibition Building, as a hybrid event.

In this meeting, we are aiming for sharing recent advances and discussing future directions in inborn errors of immunity (IEI) between physicians and researchers, or pediatricians and doctors seeing adult patients. To understand IEIs as systemic disorders, we are specially planning to five symposiums to discuss the systemic IEIs beyond immunology, recent advances in pathogenesis and therapies, pathophysiology related to hematology and/or oncology, recent advances and future directions in newborn screening, and supportive care for transition in patients with IEIs. These opportunities will help us give something back to the patients, communicate between physicians and researchers beyond the departments and generations. Therefore, I decided the meeting theme as ‘Beyond the Boundaries of Immunology and Departments’.

It does not snow heavily in February, and we have good transportation access to the venue. We are preparing for the hospitality for everyone in JSIAD members and participants to enjoy the meeting, food and atmosphere of Sendai city, and we are sincerely looking forward to seeing many of you in the meeting.
